World Economic Forum Appoints Edward Boateng

... As A Member Of The Global Agenda Council On Informed Societies

Accra – July 6, 2010: Professor Klaus Schwab, Executive Chairman has invited Edward Boateng, of Global Media Alliance and the Silverbird Group to become a Member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Informed Societies 2010 given his thought leadership in this field.

The Global Agenda Council on Informed Societies Councils, comprises of 15 to 20 Members, and serves as an informal advisory board to the Board of the World Economic Forum and, through the Forum, to the international community. The Councils represent the world’s foremost integrated ‘intelligence’ network of innovative thinking and idea exchange on global issues. Established two years ago, the Network of Global Agenda Councils has already demonstrated its importance as a much needed catalyst for improved global cooperation on key issues.

The Global Agenda Councils are now integrated in the Global Agenda Partnership, which unites the world’s most relevant experts, including business and government leaders, in an ongoing, comprehensive and co-creative process to monitor and address global, regional and industry challenges.

Edward Boateng said “I was humbled when I received the call from the office of Klaus Schwab to join the Council. I will use the opportunity to contribute my ideas to solving and providing answers to some of the issues facing us today and also learn from the experts and thinkers I will be privileged to be working with.”

Mr. Boateng will participate in the Summit of the Network of Global Agenda Councils in Dubai (29 November to 1 December 2010).
