Young professionals start year with effective planning

A renowned human resource practitioner formally of databank and currently the CEO of fair wages and salaries commission, Mr. George Graham smith has implored young professionals to observe “effective planning” and discipline in pursuing their dreams and aspirations.

He said this, speaking to a group of young professionals at the first edition of the monthly transformational leadership meeting for the year 2010 beginning, organized by the YOUNG PROFESSIONALS AND YOUTH COALITION INITIATIVE (YPYC) a non governmental, and non partisan professional youth think tank with its primary objective as national development through strategic leadership.

Mr. Graham Smith stressed on the need for young professionals to work with time as their perfect ally to meet the challenging demands of their respective jobs and societies’ he said that to be able to meet challenging deadlines, effective planning is more essential and equally enhances professionalism, he added that with good planning one could properly workout the resources needed when due, and can save the excruciating stress involved

He reiterated the need for the youth to clearly define their goals and objectives, drawing clear action plans for each, so that they can achieve and set new standards for new expectations. He added that planning done in an effective manner bridges the wide gap between the dreams and their realizations, minimizes wastage of resources and leads to optimum utilization of limited resources of a given project.

He also entreated them to engage effective planning as a major part of their daily activities lives so that it can be easily related to their professional lives.

The president of the organization Mr. Andy Osei Okrah also urged the professionals to work hard in order to achieve overwhelming results, avoiding mediocrity and complacency, he added that the successes they might have chalked now in their various endeavors are to rather challenge and motivate them to achieve even more stunning success both in their professional and social lives.
