If there is a luxurious Ecolodge hotel company carefully designed to meet tourists’ needs in West Africa then, it is Zaina Lodge.
The facility, currently under construction at the Mole National Park in Northern Ghana seeks to open a new chapter in the hospitality industry by promoting community and economic development and environmental conservation.
It offers a unique opportunity to encounter elephants and other big game on foot and up close. The lodge also offers two styles of Safari-driving and walking.
One of the best features of the Lodge’s location is the park management which permits Safari walk . Guests may walk from the Lodge or in combination with a driving safari.
Zaina Ecolodge is operated by Zaina Company Limited. The founders of both companies use business to support conservation efforts and their local communities, making them natural partners.
The Lodge is being constructed in two phases. Seventeen of the planned 25 luxury tented suites will open this year 2015, along with a central dining facility, bar and infinity swimming pool.
The suites are arrayed to capture spectacular views over the woodland savannah of Mole National Park, the largest of Ghana’s seven national parks Sustainability is a key focus of Zaina. It seeks to continuously reduce the environmental impact of its operations, using monitoring and evaluation to create an ever more efficient company.
Zaina initially seeks to create a more sustainable operation through production of solar energy, waste management, local procurement strategies, and having positive impacts on wildlife populations in the park.
