GSE Index in marginal gain

Accra, Feb. 21, GNA - The GSE All-Share Index, the benchmark measure of the Accra bourse, inched up slightly on Wednesday in active trading.

The index, rallied to close 0.26 points higher at 5,042.16 points from 5,041.90 points.

Traded volumes rose to 180,700 from Tuesday's close of 15,200 shares.

Change for the year was 0.72 per cent.

Market capitalization was up marginally at 112,713.07 billion cedis from 112,711.44 billion cedis.

On the broader market there were eight price changes, seven up and one down.

ECOBANK Ghana gained five cedis at 13,625 cedis, SG-SSB was eight cedis better 6,111 cedis, Enterprise Insurance was up by six cedis at 8,861 cedis, Aluworks was higher by two cedis at 7,382 cedis, Fan Milk Ghana Limited jumped up by 795 cedis at 19,000 cedis, PZ gained one cedi at 7,101 cedis and Total was two cedis better at 54,222 cedis. The only loser was Ghana Commercial Bank, which slumped by 99 cedis at 6,100 cedis.
