  His policy seeks to jump start the Gh. economy by cranking up the proto Agro processing plants scartered accross the country encouraging them to work for longer hours, increasing thier output and providing jobs for the Countries Young. It's Part of a group of policies newly independent countries adopt as a result of thier Declaration of Independent from thier Mother coutries, largely the dominant Euro Nations where they get the products and services needed to make life bearable in these backlands. The Declaration meant the severing of the umbilical cord that connected them tot he Mother Country

  In the case of Gh. it has been tried by several administrations at various times with varied degrees of success the very first to try the import substitution policy was Dr Kwame Nkrumah and his administration infact it was Christined Work and Happiness

  The next Head of State to try this was the army chap I.K Acheampong but unlike Dr. He chose a market lead approach facilitating the access of credit facilities and other inputs to the Nations leading entrepreneurs, Tata Brewery and the likes
  So Prez. Mahamas 24hr Economy is nothing new in Ghana it's just that Ghanaians haven't decided to pay any serious attention to the principles that will make their nations a prosperous one

  Prelimenarily i will say it will go the same way as those that came before it in terms of the materiality of the moment and the opportunity it offers to Young Ghanaians and by Extention Africans to make those leaps of faith by bring about the change they so much desire
  Many of he Countries folks live in small towns and the countryside poorly educately and no possibility of making any input to decisions by taken in Accra by the reps
