The cocoa industry is collapsing on its own. Don't blame the harmattan. Ghana experiences harmattan each year but the cocoa industry has survived all these years.

Could you please inform me why you are posting these kinds of articles? Non of them are funded, you are always expressing yourself with it "might, could , possible, maybe" . Are you one of those ones talking everything up, because you have gambled on the upside of the cocoa market, because you speculated on this commodity?
What about Russia, Ukraine, China, and lots of upcomming countries going down, and consuming less chocolate then expected. Even with Ivory coast going down on volume, there will be an excess of cocoa worldwide because market is shrinking drastically due to high prices.
So collegues don't let the speculators, gamblers and the ABN Amro's of this world drive you crazy by posting these kind of articles to increase the chocolate prices.
There are hundreds of Thousands of people working in this sector who's jobs are on stake because of those ones speculating in London and NY in their suits and ties, they are ruling the world without having seen 1 cocoa bean!
Why do't you inform us that the 143 mio Russians are consuming 38% less chocolates and the Ukrains with 45 mio 45% less, just this is hundreds of Thousands of tons less compared to last year!!!
Please remain serious, and tell people the truth of what really is going on in the sector.
I'm telling you it's going down the drain!!!!!!!!!.
