A 53-year-old woman caught with 12 pieces of wrapped whitish substance suspected to be cocaine has been granted bail in the sum of GHC 10,000.00 by the Juaso Circuit Court.
Adwoa Sarfoa has been charged for illegal possession of narcotics.
Her plea was not taken and would reappear before the court, presided over by Mr Yusif Assibey on June 13.
Police Chief Inspector Thomas Obour, prosecuting, said the complainants were police officers stationed at Konongo where the accused also resides as a farmer.
He said the complainants acting on intelligence on May 27, picked up the accused in her house at Ward six, a suburb of Konongo.
A search conducted in her room led to the retrieval of 12 pieces of wrapped whitish substance believed to be cocaine.
She was taken together with the exhibits to the station where she told investigators in her caution statement that the substance was given to her by her son, one Akwaboa who is on the run.
