The Adentan police have intensified their search for a scrap dealer who bolted after he was caught with electrical cables.

A source told the Ghana News Agency that the dealer, despite seeing police officers around, went straight to cut some electrical cables from streetlights around the Adentan Divisional Command.

The source said when he was asked to surrender what he had on him, they realized it was electrical cables. When a passerby decided to take him to the police station, he extricated himself in a flash and took to his heels.

His scrap wheel container was pushed to the Adentan Police Divisional Headquarters and reported to the Station Officer, Chief Inspector Dartey, where the electric cables, a cutlass, and the scrap wheel container were handed over for further investigations.
