The aspirant, who was launching his campaign in Tarkwa for the party= 's upcoming congress, debunked the perception by some Ghanaians that the CPP i= s a party for the aged. Mr. Simpey said if he becomes successful in his bid he would mobilize the youth in the Western Region and co-ordinate the affairs of CPP supporters in tertiary institutions, to brighten the chances of the party i= n Election 2012. He said the CPP dominated the Region in national elections until 1960 but currently the party has lost grip of the area and could boast of only one Parliamentary seat from the Region.
