Court orders two to sign bond

Two young men who stole a ladies purse containing GH¢ 120.00 have been ordered by the Tarkwa Magistrate Court one to sign a bond to be of good behavior for one year.

They are Adu Fabrigas, a 21 year-old footballer and Micheal Eshun an 18 year-old unemployed.

They pleaded guilty to stealing.

Police Inspector Faustina Celestina Anaman told the court, presided over by Mr. Jonathan Nunoo, that the complainant is an apprentice hair dresser and also sells instant noodles in front of her shop at Kwaobedu, a suburb of Tarkwa.

According to Inspector Anaman, on October 28 at around 8:15 am the accused persons who have no permanent place of abode approached the complainant in front of her shop and pretended that they were buying fried eggs.

The Prosecutor said when the complainant attempted to fry the egg she realized that the accused persons have stolen her purse and fled.

Some few minutes later, the complainant received information that the police have arrested two boys.

She proceeded to the police station and identified Adu and Eshun who were then in police custody as the two persons who stole her purse.

Inspector Anaman said when the police officer on duty searched a bag belonging to one of the accused persons, he found a ladies purse containing GH¢ 120.00 in it.
