A man, who together with another on the run, allegedly attacked and robbed a radio presenter of his cash, mobile phones and other items valued at about GH¢1,957, has been remanded in prison custody by a Kumasi Circuit Court.
Richmond Pisah, 20, charged with conspiracy and robbery, has pleaded not guilty.
He would make his next appearance in court on Tuesday, February 10.
Police Chief Inspector Hannah Acheampong, told the court presided over by Mr. William Boampong that the incident happened on July 21, last year.
The accused and his fugitive accomplice, whose name was only given as “The Game,” reportedly attacked the victim, Frederick Afriyie, at the Atonsu-Agogo lorry station at about 2030 hours and fled with his cash, phones and other valuables.
The prosecution said a formal report was subsequently made to the Police, and Pisah was arrested during investigations.
A laptop computer bag, staff identification (ID) and Automated Teller Machine (ATM) cards, belonging to the victim, were found in the room of the accused person during a search.
Meanwhile, the police have launched a manhunt for “The Game,” who is on their wanted list.
