A Ho circuit court presided over by Mrs Pricilla Dikro Ofori has remanded Bismark Dogbe, 19, a driver, into prison custody for robbing a student nurse at Ho.
Police Sergeant Patience Kuade, prosecuting, told the court that, on February 15, 2019, at about 2330 hours, the complainant (victim) who resided at Maryland, a suburb of Ho, was returning home, when the accused, who resides in the same vicinity accosted her, armed with a gun and knife.
The prosecution said the accused, who was masked, ordered the complainant to surrender her money and valuables pointing the gun at her head and threatening to shoot.
The prosecution said the complainant obliged and surrendered her Infinix Hot 5 mobile phone valued at GHC 650.00 and a purse, which contained GHC280.00.
Sergeant Kuade said the accused then marched the complainant to a nearby uncompleted building, and forcibly had sexual intercourse with her.
The prosecution said after the act, the accused ordered the complainant to run home without looking back.
She said the traumatised complainant reported the incident to the police and was subsequently issued with Police medical report form to attend hospital.
The prosecution said the accused was later arrested and the knife used during the operation retrieved.
She said the accused however escaped from police custody in an unexplained circumstance but was rearrested.
He is to reappear on July 15, 2019.
