Fake Nurse on 80 million cedis bail

Tema, Feb. 26, GNA - The Tema Circuit Court 'B' has granted bail in the sum of 80 million cedis with a surety to the fake nurse who was arrested at the Tema General Hospital in dangling ear-rings. The accused, Comfort Adongo Tetteh, pleaded not guilty to deceit of public office and would reappear before the Court on March 16, this year.

Chief Inspector Edith Nutakor, prosecuting told the Court that Comfort who is a house wife and lives at Ashaiman, was on February 22, this year, seen by a witness in the case on the premises of the hospital dressed in nurses registered uniform. She said the witness then became suspicious when she saw Comfort in a dangling earring, which was not the prescribed one for nurses so she questioned her and Comfort said she worked as a nurse at Pokuase, near Accra.

The witness not convinced with the answer sought the assistance of others who arrested Comfort and sent her to the Police Station, she added.
