GES probes headmaster over sodomy

George Amponsah-Duodu George Amponsah-Duodu

George Amponsah-Duodu, Assistant Headmaster of Kumasi High School (KUHIS), has been accused of sodomizing some of the students.

Some of the victims revealed his alleged behaviour, which is clearly against the rules of Ghana Education Service (GES).

So far, four male students, who claimed to have been bonked by the beleaguered headmaster, had lodged complaints to the authorities of the school.

A former student leader of KUHIS is said to be among the victims.

Mr. Amponsah-Duodu was suspended after the matter was reported to the Ashanti Regional Ghana Education Service ((GES).

The Ashanti Regional GES has subsequently forwarded the case to the Disciplinary Committee for investigations.

Mary Owusu Achiaw, the Regional Education Director, in a suspension letter to Amponsah-Duodu, said he would know his fate after the investigations.

Reports said that the affected students are currently going through counseling, as they also don’t know the next line of action of the school’s authorities.

Mr. Amponsah-Duodu started teaching at the school in 1996, and he has risen through the ranks to the current position.

He is said to have denied the allegations.
