Tema, Aug. 09, GNA -- Dodzi Dzila a 35-year old herbalist, was on Thursday granted GHc3,000 (30 million cedis) bail by Tema Circuit Court 'A' for possessing human bones.
Dzila who pleaded not guilty, would re-appear on September 06. Police Chief Inspector Sarah Acquah, told the court presided over by Mr Charles Asiedu, that Lashibi Community 18 Police had information that Dzila was in possession of some human parts.
She said Dzila was subsequently arrested at his residence at Community 20 in Lashibi, on June 29 and during a search in a shrine at his residence, the police retrieved some bones suspected to be human parts.
Police Chief Inspector Acquah said during interrogation, Dzila told the police that, the bones in his possession comprised of both animal and human parts that were brought to him by two spiritualists from Togo to be used to prepare charms.
The prosecution said the bones had been forwarded to the Pathological Department of Police Hospital for examination.
