The flagbearer of the Liberal Party of Ghana has pledged to roll out child benefit support if he is elected president.
The aspiring president indicated that under his presidency, he will pay GH¢500 every month as child benefit. He also pledged to introduce unemployment benefits for unemployed youth in Ghana.
He further promised to continue with the implementation of the free SHS policy and also roll out free tertiary education.
Kofi Akpaloo stated that he would run the leanest government, naming only 39 ministers. When asked how he was going to raise the resources to fund these initiatives, he said, "We have the resources in the country, and the initiative would be implemented if I were elected."
Akpaloo, speaking in an interview on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, asserted that he is not like the other politicians who lie their way to power.
He promised to be truthful to Ghanaians, stressing the need for voters to vote massively for the LPG if they want a better future. The two major political parties, he added, have had the opportunity to govern, but they have both failed to deliver to Ghanaians leadership that can transform their lives.
