Lawyer arrested for terrorising residents

A private legal practitioner, lawyer Daniel Amoah Boakye is in the grips of the police for allegedly harassing and terrorising some residents in and around East Legon, and UPS.

The lawyer is reported to have pulled a gun on the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Jerry’s Bar located at East Legon and threatened to kill him.

He reportedly carried out the same action on residents at Osbil Apartments at American House.

The lawyer, in the company of some 12 others allegedly stormed the premises of Elly’s Bar located at UPS, harassed patrons there, smashed a tv, and the windscreen of a Navarra Pick-Up which was parked at the premises of the bar.

A staff who attempted to calm him down had his ear bitten. As if that was not enough, the lawyer allegedly spat in the face of one Inspector Peace and hit him in the Abdomen.

The lawyer is said to have gone into hiding until he was recently arrested by the police. He will soon be arraigned before court the national police headquarters has disclosed.
