Man hacked to death by unknown assailant in the Volta Region

A 37-year-old man has died after he was  attacked by an unknown assailant in his room Thursday at Peki Dzake in the South Dayi district of the Volta region.

A source in the area told Starr News, the victim, Philip Ahorsu, was having siesta, when the assailant broke into his room and attacked him with a machete, leaving severe multiple wounds on him, and absconded.

The source added, the victim who was found unconscious with his intestines gushing out, was rushed to Peki Government hospital, but later transferred to the Regional hospital in Ho, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The youth in the community have since launched a search for the unknown assailant, as police commences investigation into the incident.
