“After breaking up with me after four years of our relationship, I could not take her off my mind due to the sweetness of her vagina, so I confronted her thinking she would come back to me and this led to a fight leading to her death…” were the words of a 30 year old mason arrested by the Awutu Beraku Police for allegedly killing her ex- girlfriend.

The suspect Isaac Bonney, a resident of Krobo Odumasi, after committing the act, dumped the body in a nearby bush and bolted to Madina to seek refuge.

The deceased, Mariama Tetteh, was discovered a day later by the Awutu Beraku Police after an official complaint of her missing was reported by her current boyfriend and father.

Through some neighbors, suspect Bonney was arrested after he, together with some colleagues had allegedly hired a taxi from Madina to Awutu Beraku to secretly bury the body.

Suspect upon his arrest confessed that it was out of anger that he used a neem stick to hit Mariama after a misunderstanding had ensued between them.

Narrating the incident to the media, Mr Daniel Joe- Boah, father of the deceased said, her daughter and suspect Bonney had been living together for the past four years.

Few months ago, a misunderstanding ensued between them and this led to their break up.

“My daughter who was then living with the suspect at Madina, collected her belongings and moved in to live with me at Gomoa-Nkwantanang.”

Mr Joe–Boah, narrated that on the morning of Wednesday, July 18, Mariama was in the house of his current boyfriend washing when Bonney visited.

He said, according to neigbours, they saw the two arguing but since that was none of their business, they did not pay attention.

In the evening of that same day, her current boyfriend arrived to meet the absence of Mariama but saw some blood stains on the floor and became alarmed.

The new boyfriend called the attention of Mariama’s father who also lived in the area and together, they reported the matter to the police.

Chief Inspector Stephen Tamakloe, station officer of Awutu Beraku Police Station, told the media that after the official complaint had been received, they visited the scene but could not find the body.

A neigbour who spotted the two arguing in the morning gave details of suspect Bonney to police for investigations.

Together with the neigbours, Bonney was called on phone and lured to the scene for the body to be secretly buried and he was arrested.

Suspect later led police to the bush where the body was dumped.

Chief Inspector Tamakloe said when the body was inspected, they discovered that she had a deep cut on the head and back suggesting that suspect might have used another sharp implement to cut her.

The body had since been deposited at the Police Hospital Morgue for preservation.

Meanwhile, in the bush, suspect Bonney, who at this point had shown some remorse openly said he committed the act out of anger.

He confessed his love for the deceased and added that, he thought his coming to Gomoa Nkwantanang would make Mariama change her mind and return to him.

“I could not take her out of my mind because her vagina is so sweet and she is very good in bed as well,” suspect confessed to the police in the bush in the presence of deceased’s father.
