Ibrahim Mohammed, the man who threatened to shoot and harm public officials in a viral video, has been remanded in police custody.
A press release issued by the Ghana Police Service on September 13, 2024, stated, "Court remands accused person who threatened to harm some public officials."
The suspect, popularly known as Commander Kanewu of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), was captured in a viral video on Monday, September 9, 2024, threatening to shoot and harm some key public officials, including the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), George Akuffo Dampare, and the Interior Minister, Henry Quartey.
He was subsequently arrested on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, after the police declared him wanted following the viral video.
