Mawuli Dakpo, a mason, has been remanded into prison custody by a Hohoe circuit court for possessing narcotic drugs without legal authority.
Dakpo’s plea was deferred and would reappear on October 15.
Mr Kartey Otumi, Hohoe Divisional Crime Officer, told the court that Police received intelligence that Dakpo and others were dealing in narcotic drugs around the main market.
He said Police swooped in and the suspect was arrested and a polythene bag found on him contained 10 wrappers of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, 24 whitish substance resembling cocaine and GHc150 suspected to be proceeds from the sale of the narcotics.
