Elmina, April 18 GNA- A- 28-year old Mason, who was arrested for allegedly stealing a ram valued at 1.2 million cedis and in the process of stealing another one, has been granted 12 million cedis bail with two sureties to be justified, when he appeared before a District Court at Elmina.
Stephen Oduro Tamakloe, from Ntranoa, near Elmina, pleaded not guilty and is to re-appear on May 13.
Prosecuting, Chief Inspector Keyward Adjei told the court that on April 12, this year, the complainant detected that he had lost the animal when the herd returned home from grazing.
He said the complainant and his son who were searching for the ram discovered a large polythene bag containing the carcass. Chief Inspector Adjei said Tamakloe was arrested when he was spotted chasing another sheep.
