The Ghana Police Service has arrested three persons and declared others wanted in connection with violent disturbances that left one person injured at Apam in the Central Region on Monday, September 16, 2024.
According to a statement issued by the police, the suspects, Alhaji Kassim Mohammed, Stephen Cobbinah alias Bonjour, and Joseph Mensah alias Kofi Kokor, along with others armed with offensive weapons, disrupted a commissioning ceremony for the equipment for the District Roads Improvement Programme (DRIP) at Apam, which resulted in the violence.
"Suspects Alhaji Kassim Mohammed, Stephen Cobbinah, and Joseph Mensah are currently in custody and will be put before court to face justice," the statement disclosed.
It added that efforts are underway to arrest the other suspects as well.
