Winneba (C/R) Aug. 10 GNA - The new Winneba District Police commander, Assistant Superintendent of Police Jordan Quaye has appealed to police in the district not to delay when investigating cases because such lapses would be seen as denial of justice.
Mr. Quaye said this at his maiden meeting with units from the district made of the Criminal Investigations Department, Motor Traffic and Transport Union, Task Force and the general police in the Winneba Station at Winneba.
He told them that they should not let limited resources at their disposal and lack of incentive to discourage them from giving off their best.
Mr Quaye expressed the hope that personnel would continue to work hard for the district to continue to the best in the Central Region. He appealed to the public to cooperate with the police because they would not be able to operate effectively without their support. He later toured some in Winneba and these include the Police Training School, University of Education and the Awutu-Effutu-Senya District Assembly.
He also addressed police personnel at Senya Beraku, Gomoa Fetteh and Dominase Police Stations where the station officers complained to him of shortage of personnel. He assured them that efforts would be made to address their concerns. 10 Aug 07
