Accra, July 21, GNA - The Ghana Police on Thursday announced that a girl aged about 10 years believed to be missing was found at Weija on March 1 2005 with visible marks of assault on her forehead.
A statement signed by Chief Inspector Cephas Arthur for the Director of Police Public Relations, said the girl who cannot speak audibly, has been able to say "Regina", suspected to be her name or the name of a relation and "Obo", also suspected to be her hometown. It said the girl, who was taken to Weija Police Station and later transferred to the Osu Children's Home is an epileptic patient. The Police are, therefore, calling on any person whose child or relation has been missing and answered to the description of this girl to contact the Weija Police.
