The Mesidan farming community, located in the Techiman North District of the Bono East Region, has been plunged into a state of grief and fear following the alleged gruesome murder of a teacher-trainee.

The police discovered the nearly decomposed body of 21-year-old Hannah Akosua Frimpomaa in an uncompleted building within the community.

A reliable police source, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), disclosed that the body had been deposited at a mortuary to facilitate the investigation process.

In the meantime, the family of the deceased has urged the police to expedite their investigation to ensure that the culprits are apprehended and brought to justice.

Kwasi Fosu, the uncle of the deceased, expressed the family's shock at her untimely demise during an interview with the GNA. He mentioned that Hannah was a teacher trainee at the Atebubu College of Education.

She resided with her parents in Offuman, another farming community, and left home for school on June 13, 2024. That was the last time the family had any contact with her.

"We were at home when the police brought her ID card to confirm her death last Friday, June 21, 2024," Fosu stated.

He further added that a postmortem conducted on the body revealed that the deceased had been stabbed in the throat.
