A policeman identified as David Fandoh with service number 53389 attached to the national visibility has been arrested at Nkrumah flats for trying to snatch a taxi cab with registration number GG 4316-17.

The suspect who was operating with two other accomplices currently on the run, reportedly sprayed pepper at the face of the driver and demanded the keys to his car after they had soughed his services from around Kwame Nkrumah Circle.

The driver raised an alarm and the public came to his aid and a driver passing by hit the suspect with his car leading to him falling down and was apprehended. He sustained severe injuries.

Information was later relayed to the police that someone had been arrested at Nkrumah flats for trying to snatch a taxi from the driver.

A patrol team went there and rescued the suspect but on interrogation they got to know that he is number 53389 David Fandoh of national visibility who together with two others on the run attempted who to rob one Frank Owusu of his car number GG 4316 -17.

Police confirmed the incident to mynewsgh.com and indicated that investigations have commenced on the matter after retrieving a foreign made pistol and a can of pepper spray from the suspect.

Meanwhile the Cop was rushed to the Police Hospital where he is on admission responding to treatment.
