Prisoner fails to recite Lord’s Prayer to be freed

A judge in Kumasi on Thursday December 21, gave a prisoner a rare opportunity to recite the Lord’s Prayer and have his four years sentence struck out but, the convict failed.

The judge who was furious over the prisoner’s failure to utilize the golden opportunity called him “stupid” in open court.

Nonetheless, the High court chaired by Justice Wilson, reduced Owusu Ansah’s jail term from 4 years to 3 months.

The convict was jailed two years ago for stealing, and has been appealing the case.

According to Starrfmonline.com sources, the judge is famous for asking prisoners to either recite the Lord’s Prayer or the national anthem to negotiate their freedom.
