Security man granted bail for causing damage

A Cape Coast Circuit court on Monday granted Farhart Anas, a 25-year-old security man working with Magman Force at Kawukudi , bail in the sum of GH¢1,500.00 with two sureties for conspiracy to commit crime and causing unlawful damage to property worth GH¢6,000.00 belonging to the 21st Construction Company Limited in Kasoa .

Anas who resides in Mamobi in Accra pleaded not guilty and would reappear on Tuesday January.15, 2013.

Prosecuting, Chief Inspector Charles Anku told the court presided over by Mrs. Florence Kai Otu that on November 21 Anas, together with a man known as Osibor who is at large, went to a site at the Millennium City in Kasoa where the company had dug the foundation for a two-bedroom flat and destroyed it.

Chief inspector Anku said the next day, Anas went back to the site and continued with his unlawful act claiming he was a land guard and upon a tip off the police arrested him.

The Police prosecutor said Anas admitted the offence in his caution statement and mentioned Osibor as his accomplice.
