Storekeeper helps police to locate radio tape thief.

Tema, Feb 17, GNA -- A herdsman at Ashaiman who broke into a welder's workshop, stole welding cable and radio cassette player valued at 1.4 million cedis has been remanded by the Tema circuit court 'B'. A storekeeper who displayed the tape for sale has been granted 20 million cedis bail.

Sulley Mohammed and Salifu Mohammed pleaded not guilty and will reappear on March 2, 2005.

DSP Robert Anyusiya Aganiba, prosecuting, told the court that on February 5 Sulley broke into and stole the items and on February 7 the welder found the radio tape displayed on the shelf at Salifu's store for sale and informed the police.

When the police confronted Salifu he led police to arrest Sulley.
