Takoradi, Oct.8 - GNA- Thieves broke into the Western Regional Office of the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Takoradi at dawn on Friday and stole a "Binatone" telephone and a radio cassette player worth about 650,000 cedis.
All the items were in the Regional Manager's office, which the thieves got access into by removing louver blades in one of the windows behind the office.
The thieves, using the same method, entered and ransacked the office of the Metropolitan Community Development, which is in the same block with the GNA and other Government departments and made away with a computer Processing Unit (CPU)and accessories.
Recently thieves used a ladder to enter the offices of the Metropolitan Education Office also in the same block and made away with a set of computers and accessories.
