The Tema Regional Police Command is on a manhunt for two remand prisoners who escaped from the Prampram Police Station cells on the evening of Monday, April 22, 2019.

The two, Samuel Pardie and Victor Fiagbenu and a convict, Michael Nartey escaped from the cell through the ceiling at about 23:20 hours.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Joseph Benefo Darkwah, Public Relations Officer, Tema Regional Police Command, told the media that Nartey has been re-arrested at his hideout in Ashaiman.

DSP Darkwah indicated that police on duty was only alerted about the escape of the fugitives through the cell ceiling by another inmate after they succeeded in the act.

He stated that efforts were being made to re arrest the two and therefore appealed to the public for reliable information for their arrest.
