Police in Akrokerri, near Obuasi in the Ashanti Region, have confirmed to MyNewsGh.com that suspected thieves raided a local Health Centre and made away with mobile phones belonging to patients who were admitted.

Madam Comfort Owusu, the Medical Assistant at Akrokerri Health Centre, reported that the suspected thieves entered the facility and stole three mobile phones, all valued at GH₵7,200.00, from some of the patients and then fled the scene.

Following the incident, she lodged a complaint with the Akrokerri Police, who have since confirmed the report.

The police indicated that the matter is under investigation and assured that they are committed to arresting the suspected thieves.
