A circuit in Koforidua in the eastern region has convicted three armed robbers in Koforidua to 60 years imprisonment in hard labour.

The court ordered them to pay Ghc 66,000 being the cost of Toyota Camry they snatched from a resident.

They were charged Ghc 5,500 as costs of Apple beat pill speaker, HP Laptop and one iPhone they stole.

Their conviction will run concurrently, according to her Honour Janet Animah Marfo (Mrs) who presided over the case.

The suspects, Samuel Kwame Asare popularly known as Boys Abr3 24, Kofi Yakubu aka Cobra 23 and Samuel Baafi Appiah known as Oscar 26 have been a thorn in the flesh of residents of Koforidua and it environs for sometime now.

They have been embarking on a car car snatching spree among other criminal activities.

The three were first sentenced 40 years each in an earlier case and were given another 20 years each on a different robbery case.
These notorious armed robbers were arrested after they robbed an auditor some few months ago and were processed to court.

Eastern regional police PRO,Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Ebenezer Tetteh described the robbers as notorious and have been subjecting their victims to inhumane treatment during their operations.
He issued a stern warning to criminals to desist from their actions before the long arm of the law catches them.

They will reappear in court tomorrow for judgement on a different robbery case they allegedly embarked on.
