Trial of Sexy Dod Don, Abesim murderer, others suffer adjournment

The trial of Daniel Asiedu and other high profile cases has stalled due to a strike action The trial of Daniel Asiedu and other high profile cases has stalled due to a strike action

The strike action by the jurors is currently having a significant impact on justice delivery and is hindering the swift trial of indictable cases in the High Courts.

The trials of Daniel Asiedu, also known as Sexy Don Don, Richard Appiah, Pius Ayoma, and others have all experienced further delays due to the absence of jurors.

For six weeks, since May 16, 1024, the jurors have been on strike over unpaid allowances for the past ten months.

On Monday, July 1, Justice Lydia Osei Marfo's expectation for the jurors to return and for Daniel Asiedu's trial to resume was unmet.

In a similar vein, Justice Ruby Aryeetey's court could only postpone the case of Richard Appiah until July 22.

Murtala Inusah, the Legal Affairs Correspondent for EIB Network, who is at the court, reported that more cases involving the jurors are being adjourned.
