Watchman found dead in school

A forty-seven year old school watchman at Kenyase No two in the Asutifi North District of Brong-Ahafo Region was on Monday morning found dead with cutlass wounds inflicted all over his body.

Superintendent Alhaji Maama Arhin, the Brong-Ahafo Regional Crime Officer told the Ghana News Agency on Tuesday, in Sunyani, that no arrest had yet been made.

He however said the wife of a suspect in the case whose name is being withheld but now at large had been invited for a statement to assist the Police in their investigations.

Superintendent Arhin said Mr Boadi Kwarteng, the deceased, went on duty on Sunday evening at the school and was alleged to have been attacked by the suspect and inflicted cutlass wounds on his neck and back.

He stated that the deceased body was found in a pool of blood at the school when the Police visited the scene while a mobile phone belonging to the suspect’s wife was lying beside him.

Superintendent Arhin said Police investigations had revealed that the suspect was accusing his wife of having sexual relationship with the deceased.
