Ejisu (Ash), Feb 8, GNA - The Ejisu magistrate court has granted a 40-year-old woman a 30 million-cedi bail with one surety for unlawfully destroying property.
Yaa Ataa, unemployed and member of the Abednego Incarnation Church, pleaded not guilty to the charge and is to re-appear on February 14.
Prosecution told the court, presided over by Mr Noble Nkrumah that Mr Kwame Ohene, complainant, in 1992 acquired a piece of land from the elders of Achiawkrom near Ejisu and has all the valid documents on it. However, on January 25, this year, Yaa Ataa without the consent and knowledge of the complainant, went to the land, which is now being developed by the complainant and destroyed some structures valued at about 10 million cedis.
She was subsequently identified and arrested.
