The name “Kaysamba” may be unfamiliar among Ghanaians in Ghana but very popular in Germany and the other surrounding European countries. He is a Ghanaian based in Germany and a music teacher, a performer and a social worker who extends his services to kindergarten and nursery on invitation.
He studied music education at the University of Education Winneba and presently sharing his knowledge with the people in Germany. He owns a school at South West of Germany a town called “OVISHEIM” where he teaches African drumming and dancing and the student number there is encouraging since the oldest inmate is 56 years.
He also organizes “Nkabom” in his school for people from all walks of life and during this time they play music and games that depict African culture example is the Adinkra symbols and the various games and dance of the regions in Ghana. During these programs he gets to share life, moral issues and mainly culture with the children.
Kaysamba is in the country to empower the youth who want to go into music and culture and also to give back to society what life have given him.
Is other motive for being here is to visit the school for the deaf and dumb in Cape Coast, the national champions in the drumming and dancing competition and again received an award in Hamburg Germany in the same drumming and dancing arena. According to him this a follow up of his previous visit early this year when he made a similar visit to them and he heard of their short comings. He will be donating a surprise package to them.
It was his greatest dream to team up with an old pal Kweku Antwi of Bethel Groove Multimedia who is a social worker who does counseling for the youth and an organizer of a youth camping program to add finishing touches to his long awaited album and planning of a compilation album with Bacteria, Charley Pee, Pinocchio, Yaw Rambo and many others.
Kaysamba together with Nestle Ghana Limited, A.P.Y Electricals, Franklinson Building Consultant and Bethel Groove Multimedia successfully organized this years’ Teen’s Camp in Odorkor District of the Apostolic Church Ghana. The camp was held at Presbyterian Secondary and Commercial School (Preseco) Nungua and in all 120 children and 40 teachers attended the program.
Kaysamba had a dirty welcome in Ghana when he arrived; he packed at Abeka Lapaz to buy a face towel. All he realized was a slap from behind and then he saw armed men behind him but he was smart and drove off but then he suffered from an eye problem and was treated at “Sight for Africa” located at Darkuman.
