Adum-Kwanwoma residents in Diaspora told to support projects

Adum-Kwanwoma (Ash), Sept 22, GNA - Nana Kofi Agyei IV, chief of Adum-Kwanwoma in the Atwima-Kwanwoma District, has appealed to Kwanwoma citizens in the Diaspora to mobilize resources towards the sustainable development of the community.

He said the community could not depend solely on the scarce resources provided by the newly-created district assembly for survival. The residents should therefore invest in sectors such as education, agriculture, youth employment, infrastructure and women empowerment programmes to help promote the well-being of the people especially the youth.

Nana Agyei said this at a meeting with opinion leaders of the community at Kwanwoma. The meeting was to deliberate on some development projects being initiated in the community. It was also to promote unity among the people and the traditional authorities.

Nana Agyei advised the youth to channel their energies in profitable ventures and refrain from violence, vandalism and utterances that would erode the socio-economic gains made in the community. Nana Kwame Okyem, Krontihene of Kwanwoma, announced that a durbar of the chiefs and people would soon be held to raise funds to finance projects.
