About Asante Day Asante Day celebrations seek to promote unity among all member associations by showcasing the rich Asante culture and its heritage, and as providing a forum for discussions and implementation of the Council’s program of socio-economic issues and activities affecting member organizations in North America, as well as development initiatives being undertaken in Ghana.
The following goals serve as ACONA’s strategic guidelines: • To bring Asantes together to assess their potential for development, and to mobilize resources for development projects. • To help bridge the gap between Africans and peoples of African descent in the Diaspora. • To initiate inter-cultural and educational exchange programs with the world community, in order to promote understanding and general well-being. • To organize workshops to inculcate core Asanteban values into our youth. • To promote the image of Ghana, fostering unity among all Ghanaians.
