Accra, July 28, GNA 96 Mr Richard Oblitei Solomon, Ghana's Ambassador to Equatorial Guinea has tasked the students of Street Academy to take their lessons seriously and aspire to attain greatness in adult life.
The Ambassador, who is a Patron of the Academy was addressing the students when he honoured their invitation to interact with them before departing to assume his diplomatic position in Malabo. He told them that greatness was attained only through hard work so they must work hard and focus towards such achievements.
Mr Solomon promised to remain with the Academy in spirit, while he was away and affirmed his willingness to continue helping the Academy in whatever way that he could.
The Ambassador said the way forward was for them to take their lessons seriously and respect their teachers and elders in the society. They must also strive to obey rules and regulations of the school and the law of the land in general.
Commenting on the need to invite Mr Solomon to the Academy before his departure, Mr Ataa Lartey, Founder of the Academy said it was their way of showing appreciation to their Patron for his support over the years.
He said for the past five years, Mr Solomon took it upon himself to donate exercise books to the Academy at the beginning of every school year.
Mr Lartey said the appointment of Mr Solomon was God's way of honouring him for the good work that he had been doing to society. A Trustee of the Academy, Mr Rabon Dodoo advised the pupils to take a cue from the success story of Mr Solomon, who is a lawyer by profession and work hard toward a blissful adulthood.
