CPP (Canada) Congratulates Nduom

....and the CPP for a Successful Congress!

On behalf of the executive and members of CPP (Canada) we would like to convey our heartfelt congratulations on a highly successful congress. It was with great excitement as we tried albeit with some difficulty to follow the process from Canada, as things unfold at the Congress. We witnessed with great pride true democracy on display.

To the organizers of the Congress, we say congratulations for a job well done. We all had our ‘fingers crossed’ hoping and praying for a successful event. Good organizing was historically and must continue to be the cornerstone of the CPP’s successes. You made Kwame proud!

To all the delegates, we congratulate you for making us proud and showing the people of Ghana that the CPP is back with a big bang.

To the newly elected executive, we congratulate you for your hard work, dedication and well deserved victories. We are confident that you would perform your duties with integrity and respect for your offices.

To the candidates who were unsuccessful, we congratulate you for your dedication, hard work, and demonstration of maturity for a battle well fought. We are very proud of you and your efforts. There is always a next time. But now is the time for all of us, winners and non-winners alike, to close ranks behind the elected officers and leaders of the party to rebuild and continue the great Nkrumaist tradition.

To Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, we say congratulations for a job well done. CPP Canada is behind you and we pledge our total support as our leader. The real battle now begins. We need to present a united front! It is therefore important to close ranks and do everything necessary to unify all the candidates and the rank and file behind you. Leadership means humility, respect and service to the people who elected you. CPP needs to win more seats and have a strong parliamentary representation.

This is therefore, the time to make use of all the talents and resources of the party to campaign and win power come 2008. We therefore urge you reach out to all, particularly, to the unsuccessful but credible and qualified candidates for the presidential flagbearership and national party executive offices for them to stand as parliamentary candidates of the constituencies to win more seats for the party to come into power.

We are very confident that you would make a great leader and make all Ghanaians proud.

FOREWARD EVER, BACKWARD NEVER! THERE IS VICTORY FOR US!
