Christmas message from NPP UK Chairman

Dear Patriots

As we celebrate Christmas, I want to take time to thank you all for your continued support and contributions to the work of our Party throughout this year.

This has been a year of opportunity for us all. It has also been a challenging year in many respects. But the challenges we have been through can only serve to unite our resolve to win and lead the people of Ghana out of the distress and hardships that the Mahama administration has fostered on us. Ghanaians continue to suffer under the inept leadership of President John Mahama. The economy has taken a turn for the worse. Poverty and hopelessness abound in our nation, and the roots of corruption have deepened to unprecedented depths! The time for change, has come!

The year saw significant challenges in the running of the affairs of our Party at the National level. However, these matters are now behind us. A great deal more unites us. Our recent National Delegates Congress demonstrated our resolve to unite for victory and to work to see our Leader and Presidential Candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, elected as President of Ghana in 2016. We have announced a strong Campaign team to lead the fight and we all, are fully resolved to run a strong and positive campaign that will see Ghanaians elect an NPP government in November 2016, to usher in a new era of hope.

Our country faces a choice in 2016! We should all work towards winning the hearts and minds of Ghanaians and making NPP the compelling choice for our nation. Let us direct all our efforts, energies and resources into winning the elections in 2016 to rescue our nation from further decline. In this endeavour we should reach out to all Ghanaians and build the broad coalition that will unite our nation for change, and usher in a new dispensation that will allow us to build a prosperous nation, and a fairer and just society, with equality of opportunity for all.

Let us enter 2016 with a determined resolve to work relentlessly with unity of purpose, a new sense of urgency, and a focus on the goal of seeing the election of an NPP government under the leadership of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. Let us reach out to all communities of Ghanaians and align our objectives for change, and work together to deliver the victory and change that Ghanaians deserve. A great opportunity awaits us. A year of destiny beckons. This is our opportunity!

As we celebrate this season, I urge us, to demonstrate the peace and goodwill that Christmas brings, in all that we do. Let us strive for peace in our homes, and in our nation Ghana. Let us put aside the mistakes of the past and reach for a higher ideal. And above all, let us remember those less fortunate than us, and in our own diverse ways, spread the season’s message of love, hope, charity and goodwill.

I wish you, your families and loved ones, a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year, and God’s blessings, peace, and goodwill through 2016.
