As we join the millions of Ghanaians to celebrate National Democratic Congress, NDC victory, NAAC says congratulation to Prof John Evans Attah Mills, Mr. John Dramani Mahama and the entire NDC for wrestling power from the New Patriotic Party, NPP.

Ghanaians who seek the welfare of the people are excited that Professor Mills with Mr. Mahama will be inaugurated as the third President and Vice President respectively of the 4th Republic of Ghana next Wednesday. We are also happy to see that the next Parliament of the Republic of Ghana will have an NDC Speakers as well as a Majority Leader. This piece is mainly to thank God and the people of Ghana for making it possible and even going the extra mile to see Professor Mills and Mr. Mahama as well as the NDC win the 2008 elections. Many Ghanaians have made the NDC victory possible. Ghanaians living abroad as well as Ghanaians living in Ghana are more than glad on your leadership victory.

We take this opportunity to thank the NDC members especially the Foot Soldiers and sympathizers. Our appreciations also go to the former President and first Lady, Mr. & Mrs. Rawlings. To the numerous wise floating voters in Ghana who voted on issues to make NDC victory possible we say thank you, your votes were not wasted. Lest we forget, thank you Mrs. Naadu Mills and Mrs. Mahama. As the saying goes, “to every successful man there is a woman”. We also thank the numerous people and personalities who worked behind the scenes to make the NDC victory possible.

Many thanks also go to the media both the Private and state owned for the effort they put in the elections which has made Prof Mills the President –elect. Even though some media houses played against NDC but the good people of Ghana could determine what was at stake and made their own informed decisions to vote for Prof. Mills. This is an indication that the Political culture of the Ghanaians has increase since the onset of the fourth Republic on Ghana, in 1992.

The media Houses which stood against the odds and the intimidations from the government organs and stuck with the truth, we say Ayeekooo! When the cock crows at dawn, it’s NALC saying a big thank you. Professor Mills, Mr. Mahama and all NDC Parliamentarians we congratulate you for staying put despite all the odds leveled against you and you coming out as the winners of Ghana’s 2008 Presidential and parliamentary elections.
