FCNA warns J.J Rawlings

Westchester County, New York: The entire membership and leadership of the Fante Coalition of North America (FCNA) has issued a stern warning to former President Jerry John Rawlings for his remarks upon the passing away of H E President John Evans Atta Mills in an interview with BBC.

In an emergency meeting today at Westchester County, New York, the Association was unanimous in its decision to organize, fund and ensure that Jerry Rawlings is prevented from visiting Cape Coast for any reason at all should he continue his irresponsible attacks on the late President.

The President of the Association Mr. Mike Mohigh in a very somber mood described the late President as an adorable God fearing individual who dedicated his entire life to the service of the nation. Mr. Mohigh indicated that, JJ Rawlings by his remarks has proved how cruel and heartless he is and admonished the good people of Ghana to totally disregard his taunts and trivialities. According to Mr. Mohigh, JJ Rawlings is always eager to portray himself as an all knowing, all powerful, super hero kind of person who is destined to lead and teach Ghanaians from all walks of life and in all spheres of life disciplines but the Asomdweehene as the late President was affectionately called lived a life worthy of emulation and incomparable to what JJ can ever dream of and this has been the source of jealousy that JJ has exhibited all this while. The General Secretary, Mr. Kojo Ampah expressed his utmost surprise upon hearing the said remarks and concluded that, Ewes all over the world are known for their gentleness and penchant for peace and scholarship and wondered what kind of Ewe or Ghanaian Rawlings is. Mr. Ampah echoed the Association’s stance by entreating all peace loving Ghanaians to condemn JJ Rawlings for what he described as very crude and rude comments and assured all Cape Coasters and Fantes that the organization will deal with JJ Rawlings pretty rough should he continue to attack the legacy and family of the late President. Former President Jerry John Rawlings in an interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation indicated that, the late president could have possibly survived another six seven months has he heeded to wise counsel among other things. He has come under a huge backlash since from prominent individuals and institutions because his remark is seen as being contrary to Ghanaian Cultural norms and very insensitive at this time the whole nation is mourning the loss of the President.
