Ghana Delegation To Catholic World Youth Day Call On Ghana Ambassador To Spain

The Ghana delegation to attend this year Catholic World Youth Day in Madrid, Spain have called on the Ghana ambassador to Spain in Madrid in his residency immediately after their arrival in Spain on last Sunday.

Welcoming the delegation to the Spain, Hon. Phidias Yao, Ghana Ambassador to Spain advised the group to be good ambassadors of Ghana during the programme since they have been selected to represent Ghana and the programme is the whole world programme many people world use their actions in Spain to judge Ghanaians.

He entreated the delegation to before of whatever they do during the programme and reminded them to focus on why the Catholic Church in Ghana sent them to Madrid to do. ´´You should know that you have come here to worship God and that should be your aim but nothing else´´ he noted.

He said many people in the Spain know about Ghana because of football and it was better for the delegates to let the people of Spain and in the other part of the world know that Ghanaians are good in worshiping God.

Hon Yao, appealed to the delegates to try to compute themselves and get active involvement of all the activities which would take place during the programme

He expressed his gratitude to the Spain embassy in Ghana for the support they offered to the delegates in terms of getting visa for the programme.

He said that Ghana would continue to strengthen her international relationship with Spain to foster development in all aspect of life.

On before of the delegation, Mr. Geroge Nigo, National Vice Chairman of the Ghana National Catholic Youth Council, commended the ambassador in his workers for the kind of reception they had offered the group and promised not to let Ghana down during the Catholic Youth Day, which was expected to be attended by over one million catholic Youth and Non-Catholics over the world.
