Ghana appoints new ambassador to Italy

Accra, June 16, GNA - Mr Charles Agyei-Amoama, Ghana's Deputy High Commissioner in OTTAWA, Canada, has been appointed Ghana's new Ambassador to Italy.

This was contained in a statement issued and signed in Accra on Thursday by Ms Georgina Djameh, Acting Director of Information and Linguistics Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and NEPAD.

She said President Kufuor in consultation with the Council of State appointed Mr Agyei-Amoama.

According to the statement, Mr Agyei-Amoama would succeed Ghana's current ambassador to Italy Dr. Kofi Dsane -Selby.
