The Canadian society is a beautiful mosaic of cultures around the globe. Canadian citizens who originally came to Canada from other parts of the world are allowed to celebrate their own cultures on the soil of Canada. It is in this vein that Ghanaians living in the biggest commercial city of Canada, Toronto, for the past five years have come together to celebrate the rich culture of our motherland, Ghana dubbed GhanaFest!
On August 13th Saturday is GhanaFest in Toronto for the fifth consecutive year and the community will come together to celebrate our culture rooted in food, poetry, music, dancing, education and unity. It is also a day you can catch up with friends you have not met in a while to socialize and bond
We invite you, your family, friends and neighbors to celebrate the beautiful Ghanaian Culture
The identity of people is defined by how they exemplify their culture ...beauty, pageantry, resiliency, history, colors and regalia. Let us support this event. The planning team under chairmanship of Richmond and supported by the executives of the Ghanaian Canadian Association of Ontario has put a lot of efforts and resources into this great event to make it very unique!
A lot of folks outside our community do show up to witness our culture and we need to be ready to tell our story of the Ghanaian cultural mosaic.
