Ghanaian Businesswoman Dies In China!

Ghanaian Community wishes to extend our heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family of Grace Opare (GRACE STAR, MAKOLA) whose sudden death occurred on 5TH July, 2014, Guangzhou, China.

She died after acute heart attack at a hotel she was lodging and was rushed to the hospital where she was later pronounced dead. Preliminary investigation is been conducted by China police to ascertain the cause of her death after which the body shall be flown to Ghana for the burial.

With the sudden demise of Grace Opare, Ghanaian Community-China admonishes all traders who ply their businesses in China to be mindful of the distance and undertake a thorough body check-up before they embark on long journeys.

The Community has also observed that most of the women who trade in China are in their ‘’pension age ‘’ and need to entrust their businesses to others or next of kin. It is sad and disturbing to see women in their sixties limping in Guangzhou City purchasing clothes all because they do not trust anyone to assume such roles.

Last year a woman who was seven months pregnant delivered prematurely while she was in China and it took the intervention of the community to avert a mishap. It is therefore imperative to caution traders whose pregnancy is over six months to stay off such long distance trips.

Nevertheless, Ghanaian Community-China once again consoles and sympathizes with the bereaved husband, children and the entire family of the passing away of their beloved MADAM GRACE OPARE. MAY HER SOUL REST IN PEACE.
