Ghanaians In Tracey Towers "Ahenfie" Celebrate 5th Anniversary.

Addressing a colorful gathering of Ghanaians on the fifth anniversary of the Tracy Towers Ghanaian Community (AHENFIE) , Ghana's Consul General to the USA, His Excellency Ernest Lomotey disclosed that his door are open to the general public especially the Ghanaian Community for consultations when the need arises, " we are there to serve you and we are also there to cooperate with you and your grievances are highly welcome"

“The office of Ghana's Consulate has set up a website “www.ghanaconsulate.org" that will enable you to reach us to let us hear your grievances. It will also enable us improve upon our services and also serve you better. We genuinely want to do business with you.” the Consul General noted.

His Excellency Lomotey advised the Ghanaians to be law abiding citizens and admonished them not to forget that, "America is not our country, we came here for various reasons including education, greener pastures and for that matter we should not compete among ourselves' in all our endeavors”

The well attended event was held on May 28th at the Tracy Towers on Mosholu Parkway in the Bronx, a suburb of New York. Tracy Towers, an apartment complex in the heart of the Bronx houses the largest population of Ghanaian residents in the Bronx.

Mr Addai Kwarteng aka "DR" the President of the Tracey Towers Ghanaian Community in his speech appreciated the members for their immense work to the association " I know that you sometimes put in so much of your precious time ,energy,money,sacrifices and I can assure you that all your efforts to let things happen in a spirit of unity , peace and progress are well noted"

Outlining his vision to the members ,Mr Addai Kwarteng said,” I want us all to support our youth wing with programs that can provide them with comprehensive goals, provide authentic and accurate information to the members all the time, to help individual families with their problems, encourage the members to get involved in social activities.

He continued that , “I want to protect the rights of individuals to make their choices to improve the quality of lives, to support and co-ordinate health and social services at the community level, to foster unity, love, peace and total cooperation in our midst" " Dr" Addai Kwarteng noted.

" I know for sure that, this vision and dreams cannot be successful without you all joining hands with me to let the Tracey Towers Ghanaian Community Association win more laurels for the and we should not let the obstacles and the challenges wear us down"..

The Asanteman Association of New yORK,The Unique Ladies of New York, Amansei Assocation of New York and the Sekondi - Takoradi Association of New York -THE DO were there to Grace the event.
